You ask if I would ever leave
What it would take to pack up and go
the question is could I ever
I am pretty sure that answer is no

Have you seen a turtle without a shell
An oyster with no pearl to hold
A night sky not filled with stars
or a heart not made of gold

You have become the shell that protects me
The oyster that holds me tight
My sky is now filled with bright stars
And my heart has never felt so right

The sun is now always brighter
The nights are warmer with you
My life is enhanced by your voice
Mornings elevated with coffee you brew

I stand strong to be your pillar
To support you in every way
And show you the silver linings
Reminding you I’m here to stay
